According to Netflix, 'Silence Sea' tells the story of crew members heading to the moon to retrieve samples of questions in the future, when water and food are scarce due to global desertification.
Jung Woo-sung, who is a producer in 'The Sea of Silence', has also produced and starred in the 2016 movie 'Do not forget me'.
The original film 'Silence Sea' is a short film by Choi Hang-yong, and Choi will direct the Netflix series.
The screenplay of the series will be directed by Park Eun-kyo, who won the Screenplay Award for Korean Film Critics Association for 'Mother'.
