AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS REFEREE BANNED FOR 6 MONTHS

Referee Rajindraparsad Seechum, a referee at the on going Africa Cup of Nations has been suspended for 6 months for poor performance. He gave a controversial penalty to the host nation Equatorial Guinea in the quarter finals match with Tunisia which ended in a 2-1 victory for Equatorial Guinea.

Tunisian Federation has been fined 50,000 dollars for the way the tunisian players confronted the referee.

The Confederation of African Football however said the referee committee found Rajindraparsad's performance very poor.
