If you are unfamiliar with Eunice’s predicament, the young lady is understood to have gone for a lunch date with a stranger identified as Moses Gatama Njoroge whom she was flirting with on Facebook before meeting him at Nairobi’s Ambank House.
After having a few drinks of the sexually charged man started getting too intimate with Eunice and when she declined, the agitated man threw her from the 12 th floor of the building where she ended up being completely incapacitated to date.
During their morning show, dubbed the “Lift Off” Shaffie and Joe Mfalme discussed the incident and assassinated the lady for being “too cheap” and “Available” to meet an online stranger for a few pleasantries.
In a since-deleted clip that has gone viral on social media, Shaffie and his Co-host are seen advising women how they can play hard to get and should occasionally be unavailable to men interested in them.
“Do you think Kenyan women, whether they are dating or not, are too available, too lose, too willing, or too desperate, and is that the reason they get themselves in such situations?” Shaffie inquires on air.

The comments were not taken lightly by the online community who demanded an immediate apology to which the presenters did so on Friday morning.
However, the public apologies were not received well since the majority of netizens believe it was done to save their image and careers.
Taking to Twitter, KOT termed their apologies as a mere PR strategy to save their careers and not an honest apology for the shameful act inflicted on Eunice.
Barely harmes: I’m not buying this facile apology that was an outright copy and paste of Shaffie’s. Clearly penned down by your HR team in hopes to sweep this all under a rug. And disable comments?? There needs to be a conversation and you need to engage it and explain yourself!”
Jem Guru: Even if you are the only two remaining human beings on earth, no one has the right to harm you for whatever reason whatsoever. Your availability should not be deemed to be your vulnerability. STOP BLAMING VICTIMS
Spitta_Andretti: Shaffie Weru na DJ Joe Mfalme wame copy-paste each other’s apologies. They sound so fake and disingenuous hata huwezi amini chenye wanasema.
James Mutua: Hii apology ni upuzi tu just trying to protect your jobs
Adelle Onyango; “I am sending all my love to survivors – every day we have to interact with people pushing the narrative that our NO isn’t worthy, shouldn’t be respected and should be met with violence and abuse. That is not true. You are not to blame.”
Bien from Sauti sol wrote; “Why is this still on here? This conversation stinks. This is not the way brothers. Victim shaming is as stupid as the act itself. Do better.”
This is not the first time Homeboyz Radio presenters are apologizing for victim shaming.
